Smart TV Setup
Smart Tv’s
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND RUNNING STARTUP SHOW DIRECTLY ON A SMART TV. MOST SMART TV’S DON”T HAVE ENOUGH RAM TO PROCESS ALL THE CHANNELS< TV SHOWS AND MOVIES.
We reommend using a Firestick, Firecube or an android box.
Any Smart TV with the ability to download an app could possibly work. We do not guarantee that any applications will work on Smart TVs as most of them have been cracking down on applications not in their app stores. Apps can be side loaded onto Smart TVs but again is not supported by Norstar and may not be supported by your manufacturer. During an update they may erase any and all apps that do not appear in their specific app store. So install non app store apps at your own risk.
We must also inform you that you may run into some errors installing our service on your SmartTV IPTV app. The most common reason for errors is that you have entered the URL incorrectly. There must be no errors or spaces anywhere in the URL, if there are this is the error you will get. The second and less common reason is that the app and/or TV is blocking the IPTV URL or port. We are seeing more and more SmartTV manufacturers blocking port 8000 at the wifi card as this is the main port that IPTV service providers utilize. This is something that we can’t control.
If you are running into these errors and the URLs are completely correct you do have options, you can use an Android box or FireTV device for your Norstar service. The Android box being the better choice as Amazon looks to be heading in the direction of locking their devices to specific streaming services in the next few years,
Below are the instructions on how to attempt to setup our service on your SmartTV.
There are 3 apps for Smart TV’s
-Smarters IPTV
-STB Emu
